Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP)

ADFIAP is the focal point of all development banks and other financial institutions engaged in the financing of sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region. For almost five decades now, the Association has vigorously pursued its mission of advancing sustainable development through it’s 97 member-institutions spanning in 42 countries and territories in the region and beyond such as Canada, Germany, and France. ADFIAP is an NGO in consultative status with the United Nations’ Economic and Social Council (UN-ECOSOC); and a founding member of the World Federation of DFIs composed of similar organizations in Africa, Latin America, Middle East, and Europe. 

As a membership organization, it provides business networking opportunities as well as access to capacity-building programs, conferences, seminars, and training events, among others.

Using the association’s expansive reach and network worldwide, ADFIAP has promoted business cooperation among members and has advocated sustainable development issues in the area of climate finance, blended finance, local economic development through SME and microfinance promotion, and socially-responsible investments as well as corporate governance issues. This international network provides a forum for mutual sharing of experience and expertise as well as for information exchange in various topics and issues concerning sustainable finance.  It also publishes regular newsletters and other thematic publications.  ADFIAP is the only source of practical knowledge and experience on development financing in the region.

Association of African DFIs (AADFI)

AADFI is an international organization created under the auspices of African Development Bank (AfDB) in 1975 with membership of over 80 Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), spread across the five sub-regions of the African continent. The AADFI Headquarters is in Abidjan, Republic of Cote d’Ivoire. The broad objectives of the AADFI includes to promote cooperation for financing of economic and social development in Africa; accelerate the process of economic integration in Africa; establish among DFIs systematic exchange of technical assistance ; encourage the implementation of studies on DFI issues , establish and advise framework for successful operation of DFIs in Africa. As a means of achieving its objectives, AADFI implements projects and activities to nurture cooperation among DFIs, carry-out regular capacity-building for professional skill development in development banking and finance operations, and institutional reforms and strengthening of DFIs in Africa. The Association promotes advocacy and development policy advice to ensure that DFIs are strengthened and operate in line with best practices, and as efficient partner in delivering impact development in the key priority sectors of African economies.

In addition, Macau Expo Group Limited organised the “International Super Cup – Macau”, “Qingdao-Macao International Offshore Race” and the “Macau-Qingdao Beer and Cultural Festival” through “MICE+”.

The Group has actively participated in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Guangdong-Macao In-Deep Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. It has set up branches in Zhuhai and Shenzhen, and has established a joint venture, Zhuhai Huahao International Convention & Exhibition Company Limited, with Huafa Group’s Hua Jin Convention & Exhibition.
