Ms. Suharti Mohd Ali

Suharti Mohd Ali (“Suharti”) was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of SME Bank on 1 March 2021.

She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Universiti Utara Malaysia and Diploma in Public Administration (English) from MARA Institute of Technology (UiTM).

Suharti has more than 34 years of experience in the area of information technology having found her career path with the then Jabatan Telekom Malaysia (“TM”) in 1980. She was the subject matter expert for the Credit Management System for the TM CASS Project from 1989 to 1992. From 1993 to 2006, she headed the Credit Management System Division (IT) and her last position with TM was as General Manager of NOVA Project, the CRM System for TM’s flagship product, Unifi. The platform is still in use today. Suharti joined Celcom Axiata in 2011 as Director of IT Transformation and left the industry in 2017 to pursue areas of work she has passion, for education, motivation in project management and health.

Suharti currently sits on the Board of Takaful Ikhlas Family Berhad. Previously, Suharti was a Director of CEIL Sdn Bhd.
