Ms. Patricia (Adongo) Ojangole

Patricia Ojangole is Chairman of the African Association of DFIs. She is currently the Managing Director and CEO of Uganda Development Bank Ltd, Uganda’s only national development finance institution, where she has been instrumental in turning around the Bank to become the preferred and trusted partner to the Government of Uganda in achieving Socio-economic development aspirations

She spent a significant part of her career in diverse business areas including internal audit, credit, risk management and governance in large multi-national financial institutions in various African countries including Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Namibia, Swaziland, Lesotho and Botswana.

Ms. Ojangole holds a Masters of Philosophy in Development Finance (cum laude) from University of Stellenbosch, South Africa; an Executive Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Eastern and Southern Africa Management Institute, Arusha, Tanzania; a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) Degree from Makerere University; and has previously completed a number of leadership and management programs. She is a Fellow of the Association of the Certified Chartered Accountants (UK); member of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda, as well as The Institute of Internal Auditors Uganda.

She is a member of the Board of Uganda Development Bank Ltd serving as an Executive Director; non-executive and independent member of the Board of Msingi EA Ltd, Nairobi, where she Chairs the Board Audit Committee; member of the Audit Committee of the New Vision Group Board; and member of the Board of Busitema University Holdings. She also serves on the boards in member countries of the Islamic Development Bank.
