Mr. Yannick Abba

Yannick ABBA is Chief Strategy Officer at the Banque Nationale d’ Investissement (BNI) of Côte d’Ivoire since 2023, representing CEO M. Youssouf FADIGA at this year’s AADFI-ADFIAP Joint International Forum. He leads the BNI’s strategic plan, positioning BNI as a regional benchmark in development banking, digital transformation, and ESG leadership across the UMOA zone.

Under CEO FADIGA’s leadership, BNI became the third-largest bank in Côte d’Ivoire by total assets as of December 2024. In July 2025, BNI achieved a major milestone with its official accreditation by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) — a recognition that affirms its commitment to sustainable finance and ecological transition.

Yannick brings nearly 20 years of experience in financial services, having held senior banking roles across North and Latin America, with a focus on inclusive finance and digital innovation. He sits on the board of BNI Gestion, the asset management arm of the BNI Group, where he serves on the Audit and Risk Committee.

He holds a master’s degree in management from Queen’s University in Toronto, and frequently speaks on the intersection of data, strategy, and innovation in Finance.
