Mr. Hussain Al Lawati

Mr. Hussain Al Lawati currently serves as the CEO of the Development Bank, a key ADFIAP member organization leading the way in financing development and economic diversification in Oman. His leadership was further emphasized when he was elected as 1st Vice-Chairman of ADFIAP during the Board of Directors meeting in Muscat on April 24, 2025.

He brings over two decades of extensive background and experience in strategic planning, innovation, growth and strategic partnerships in the banking and financial sector, having held the position of CEO and senior management roles in large financial Institutions. He is serving as Committee member in several Governmental Committees in Oman. Just recently, he has been appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Credit Oman. This vital appointment further enhances the leadership of a key institution dedicated to supporting trade and economic growth in the Sultanate.

Mr. Lawati is a Harvard Business School graduate (alumni) and Certified Expert in SME Finance, beside his academic and professional certifications.
