Mr. Angelito B. Acupan

Lito Acupan is a Filipino strategist and public sector executive, known for his thought leadership in development economics, microfinance, and inclusive policy design. With a career marked by excellence and service, he has played a pivotal role in shaping national strategies that support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and drive inclusive economic growth in the Philippines.

Currently serving as the Head of the Strategy, Policy, and Systems Sector at the Small Business Corporation (SBCorp), he is instrumental in crafting forward-thinking policies and systems that empower Filipino entrepreneurs, especially those in underserved communities. Under his guidance, SBCorp has strengthened its role as a catalyst for economic resilience, innovation, and inclusive development.

An accomplished academic, Lito holds a Master of Philosophy in Economics and a Master in Social Change and Development (with specialization in Trade and Development) from the University of Newcastle, Australia. His scholarly work has contributed to global and domestic discourse on poverty reduction and labor migration, notably through publications in international peer-reviewed academic journals.
