Dr. Anthony Ehimare is a globally experienced financial executive with more than 25 years of leadership across international banking institutions and multilateral financial organizations. He currently serves as the Chief Risk Officer at the African Trade & Investment Development Insurance (ATIDI), where he leads the institution’s risk strategy and governance, advising executive leadership and the Board on risk alignment, exposure management, and institutional resilience.
His career spans senior leadership roles at the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development, HSBC Bank USA, Ecobank Transnational, and Citigroup. Across these institutions, he has spearheaded enterprise risk transformation, strengthened credit portfolio oversight, driven internal audit reforms, and advanced capital adequacy strategies. He brings deep expertise in aligning risk frameworks with institutional objectives, navigating regulatory complexities, and embedding robust governance structures.
Dr. Ehimare holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (Strategic Management) from the Swiss School of Business and Management and an Executive MBA from the University at Buffalo. He maintaining strong professional engagement with global risk management networks. His professional passion lies in building resilient institutions through sound risk management, strategic foresight, and disciplined execution.
